We reinvented it.

  1. Charterer

    Post a listing.

Enter the cargo, ports, loading dates and reference price. SeaRoute suggests a price, estimates arrival and flags potential port restrictions or sanctions issues.

  2. Vessel owners

    Submit offers.

Owners propose a vessel, price and terms. Offers can be above or below the reference price.

  3. Charterer

    Compare. Review.
    Accept.

Review the vessel and schedule, then accept an eligible offer. SeaRoute reserves the full freight and creates the voyage agreement.

  4. Both parties

    Sign the agreement.

The owner signs first, followed by the charterer. The final signature triggers payment through the EMI partner, and payment confirmation activates the voyage.

  5. Loading port

    Arrive & load.

VesselFinder records arrival at the loading port. The owner confirms loading commencement and completion through Voyages, where the charterer receives the updates.

  6. Carrier / authorized representative

    Issue the electronic
    bill of lading.

Cargo details are reviewed and approved, then the carrier or authorized representative issues the eBL through SeaRoute.

  7. At sea

    Depart & travel.

VesselFinder records departure and supplies tracking data. Owners continue operational updates through Voyages. Unmatched vessels on VesselFinder require manual coordinate inputs.

  8. Discharge port

    Arrive & deliver.

VesselFinder records arrival at the discharge port. The owner confirms discharge, and the lawful holder presents or surrenders the eBL so the carrier can authorize cargo release.

  9. Voyage complete

    Complete the voyage.

Delivery is confirmed, final documents and any additional charges are resolved, and the voyage’s updates, eBL history and payment records remain available.
